Javea

The fishing and agricultural town of Javea is one of the most important tourist centres of the Costa Blanca. It is easily accessible to the rest of Europe via the international airports of Alicante and Valencia and the network of motorways.

The coastline is 25kms long with varied scenery. The town itself, 50 meters above sea level, is an urban labyrinth of narrow streets and white buildings with arched doorways and gothic windows. Balconies and railings of forged iron lend a distinguished air to the town. One of the pleasures in Javea is walking along the narrow white-washed streets and allowing you to be consumed by the feeling of history.

All 4kms of the beaches are on the Mediterranean, beaches of fine sand and gravel which acts as a contrast to the 18kms of cliffs.

Sheltered from the northern wind by the Mount Montgo, the temperatures in Javea could be described as clement with winter never getting any colder than 11oc and even in August temperatures do not rise over 25oc

Javea has all the amenities needed for comfortable living and relaxing. Supermarkets, medical centres, banks, boutiques and restaurants. There is also a weekly market where fresh vegetables can be bought together with a wide selection of locally caught fish.

In the Spring Javea is magical with the scent of orange and lemon blossoms, citrus fruit has become one of the regions principal cash crops.

The World Heath Organisation has proclaimed Javea to be environmentally nearly perfect.

Javea has its own yacht club in the port "Club Nautico", and a golf course,several tennis clubs and, of course, the superb climate which enables you to enjoy Javea to its full extent.
